About Me

A journey in science communication, statistics, and computational neuroscience.

Ricky Rojas I am Ricky Rojas, a student at Stanford University with an academic focus on statistics, natural language processing, and computational neuroscience. In addition to the Notation in Science Communication program, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Masters in Statistics. Outside of coursework I stay involved with the Stanford community as a peer advisor for the Data Science department, a teaching assistant for Data Science 112: Principles of Data Science, and I’ve also served on the introductory seminar student advisory committee. In my free time I enjoy baking, hiking, playing board games, watching movies, and hanging out with friends.

As a data science student, I’ve always been drawn to the art of making data visualizations and the notation in science communication has allowed me to further explore and develop those skills. I choose to model my portfolio around data visualizations as it intertwines well with my work around interpretability and communication.
